About Lesson: Module 4: Types of Entrepreneurship
About Lesson
Types of Entrepreneurship introduces participants to the wide range of entrepreneurial paths and the factors that shape them. The course begins with an overview of entrepreneurship and why different types exist, then explores small business entrepreneurship with its local and family-run models, followed by scalable start-ups that aim for rapid growth and attract venture capital. Learners will also study social entrepreneurship, which blends profit with impact, and corporate entrepreneurship (intrapreneurship), where innovation happens inside large organizations. Other modules cover innovative and technological ventures driving digital transformation, green and sustainable entrepreneurship addressing environmental challenges, and the distinction between necessity-driven and opportunity-driven businesses. Emerging forms such as lifestyle, family, gig, and digital platform entrepreneurship are also discussed. Case studies and group activities ensure participants not only understand the different types but also reflect on which model best fits their own entrepreneurial journey.
